The Company

SeaLand Real Estate, Inc. was founded in 2008 under the guidance of Broker/Co-Owner, John G. Vazquez and wife/Realtor and Co-Owner, Barbara Trapp Vazquez. Located on historic Flagler Avenue, New Smyrna Beach’s tourist district, the realty thrives with many referrals from past customers and clients, friends, neighbors and community leaders. “Our business has been built on quality relationships and quality service”.

John has worked his entire real estate career in the New Smyrna Beach/Edgewater market, starting in 1989 as a full-time Realtor. Barbara joined him in the real estate business when they acquired Meadow Real Estate in 1997, an independent real estate company specializing in residential sales and rentals. Their company was eventually bought by a RE/MAX franchise, the beginning of a successful working relationship with this franchisee and their successor, another RE/MAX franchise.

The Vazquez’ decision to open up SeaLand Real Estate, a locally owned and operated full service real estate agency, was brought on by the economic challenges of 2008, that included the closing of the local RE/MAX franchise in New Smyrna Beach, where they were employed as Realtors. Although they could have remained with RE/MAX, working out of the Port Orange office, John & Barbara felt that their clients needs would best be served from their building at 216 Flagler Avenue, the New Smyrna Beach location where they have been located since 2000 ... thus SeaLand Real Estate was born.
